Terms of Service

1. 01Who we are, and what the Interface is

   “Lambdachain”, “we” and “us” refer to the operator of the Interface. The Interface is a website and web application that displays information about, and lets you interact with, the Lambdachain protocol: a set of autonomous smart contracts and infrastructure deployed on the STRATO test network and connected test networks (the “Protocol”).

   The Interface is one way to reach the Protocol; it is not the Protocol. We do not take custody of assets, hold your keys, or execute transactions on your behalf. Transactions you sign are executed by the Protocol according to its published rules.

2. 02Testnet

   The Protocol currently runs on a test network with play money. Testnet balances, positions and yield have no monetary value, may be reset, altered or deleted at any time without notice, and create no entitlement, claim or expectation of any kind — including no expectation of receiving real assets, tokens or compensation now or in the future. We may wipe, restart or discontinue the testnet at our sole discretion.

3. 03Eligibility

   To use the Interface you must:

   • be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract;
   • not be a person or entity subject to sanctions administered by the United States (including OFAC), the United Nations, the European Union or the United Kingdom, or located in a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions;
   • use the Interface only where doing so is lawful for you.

   When services involving assets of real value launch, they will not be available in certain jurisdictions, and additional eligibility requirements and verification may apply. We may restrict access by geography or otherwise at any time.

4. 04Not advice, not an offer

   Nothing on the Interface is investment, financial, legal, accounting or tax advice, and nothing on the Interface is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any asset, security, derivative or other financial instrument in any jurisdiction. Figures shown on the Interface — including any rewards figure or earn rate — are illustrations, are not guaranteed, and are not a promise of future performance. Rewards points are a promotional program: they are not money, have no cash value, and their terms may change.

5. 05Your responsibilities

   You are solely responsible for your wallet, your keys, your passkeys and every transaction you sign. Lost keys cannot be recovered by us. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including tax obligations.

6. 06Prohibited use

   You agree not to:

   • use the Interface to violate any law, regulation or sanctions program;
   • manipulate or attempt to manipulate any market on the Protocol, including wash trading, spoofing or oracle manipulation;
   • attack, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Interface or the infrastructure that serves it;
   • use the Interface from a jurisdiction where doing so is restricted, or circumvent any geographic or other access restriction;
   • misrepresent your identity or eligibility.

7. 07Intellectual property

   The Interface — including the Lambdachain name, wordmark, design, text, graphics and code that serves it — is our property or used with permission, and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the Interface for its intended purpose. Third-party names and logos shown on the Interface belong to their owners and are used to identify the markets and services they name.

   If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use them without restriction or compensation.

8. 08Third-party services

   The Interface interoperates with software and services we do not control — wallets, browsers, payment processors, blockchains and data providers. Your use of them is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for them.

9. 09Disclaimers

   THE INTERFACE AND THE PROTOCOL ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE INTERFACE OR THE PROTOCOL WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. USE OF EXPERIMENTAL SOFTWARE INVOLVING CRYPTOGRAPHIC SYSTEMS CARRIES INHERENT RISK — SEE THE RISK DISCLOSURES, WHICH ARE PART OF THESE TERMS.

10. 10Limitation of liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, ASSETS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE INTERFACE OR THE PROTOCOL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE INTERFACE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS.

11. 11Indemnification

    You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Interface, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

12. 12Changes, suspension, termination

    We may change the Interface, these terms, or both, at any time; the date above reflects the latest revision, and continued use after a change is acceptance of it. We may suspend or terminate access to the Interface at any time, for any reason, without notice. The Protocol itself operates under its own published rules; see the documentation.

13. 13Governing law and disputes

    These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise. You waive any right to participate in a class action to the extent permitted by law.
